What we offer

German Classics is an innovative wine trading company with deep roots in the German wine industry. The founders combine extensive wine knowledge and many years of trading experience with a deep understanding of Japanese culture: Yvonne Fritzsche-Sterr has had a close relationship with Japan for more than 30 years, Friedrich Kern is the fifth generation to produce and market wines.

German Classics offers handcrafted, exceptional and unique German wines. They are thoughtfully selected from renowned wineries in Germany. The careful selection of winegrowers, origins and grape varieties offers a representative picture of German wines.

Only family-run companies contribute to the German Classics portfolio. Individuality, craftsmanship and passion bring outstanding wines to the glass.

Frieder is from southern Germany and the father of two sons. The trained distiller studied beverage technology at Geisenheim University. His work in the South African wine world prepared him for joining his parents' company in Stuttgart.

As managing partner, he shaped the great success of the Wilhelm Kern family winery for over 30 years.

His responsibility for the successful sales development of his own company confirms his ambition to now set his sights on new goals. Wine is always his companion.

Our Ambition

For our customers in Japan, we find the hidden champions of the German wine industry: family businesses based in classic German wine-growing regions that successfully and sustainably produce wine in harmony with nature and people.

These are wineries that have transferred their family traditions, their high-quality standards and their integrity into our time with love and passion. They are winegrowers who combine the knowledge and craftsmanship of generations, their years of experience and tradition with their desire to innovate to meet our modern needs.

As a result, like their vines, they are firmly rooted in German culture and society - TRUE GERMAN CLASSICS!!!

German Beer

When it comes to German classics, beer is a must! The Dinkelacker family brewery from Stuttgart stands for wonderfully fresh beers full of tradition. Since the company was founded in 1888, they have been brewing beers from the best ingredients according to recipes handed down over generations. Connoisseurs greatly appreciate the quality of the beers.

The family-owned company is involved in numerous associations, maintains good relations with employees, customers and suppliers and attaches great importance to the use of modern ecologically sustainable production methods.

Celebrations are also held here. For example, since 1818 at the second largest folk festival in the world: the Cannstadter Wasen.
